Spring Indoor Tackle Football
We are very pleased to announce the Steelers Indoor Football Spring Season is underway! Within the next week you will hear from your son's head coach regarding practice dates/times, locations etc.
Saturday, March 27, 2010, 9 AM - 12PM, equipment will be handed out at the Howard County Recreation and Parks Building. 7120 Oakland Mills Road, Columbia, MD, 21046.
Also, cleats are restricted at the soccer dome. Please have your son practice and play in sneakers only.
We are looking forward to a fun and productive spring season! GO STEELERS!
Spring Indoor Tackle Football Is HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a fantastic way to keep our athletes in good football shape, increase their football IQ’s, work with their potential fall coaches as well as give them the needed edge to succeed during the Fall season!! Teams will be assembled based on the number of players available throughout each age group.

Registration will be through the Howard County Parks and Recreation and is now OPEN! Registration closes on March 26th!!!
Those who have not created an online account since November 2009 will need to do so before they can register:

-Once you have created your account, it will take up to 24 hours to receive a confirmation email, in which you will have to click on a link to activate your account.

STEELERS YARD SALE

The warm weather is here, finally!!! It’s time to spring clean our closets and garages!!! If you have unwanted, gently used items, such as books, DVDs, household items, please donate them to the Steelers Yard Sale. Donations are needed and are greatly appreciated! This event was a huge success for us all last year and we are expecting a repeat! Remember one person’s junk is another person’s treasure!! Email Sara Johnson for donation pick up. Receipts will be provided upon request.
LAUREL MAIN STREET FESTIVAL

It’s almost time for the Laurel Main Street Festival!!! Bring your appetites and enjoy the variety of fabulous vendors. Stop by and chat with your past and future coaches at our booth. As proud community role models, the Steelers organization recognizes the importance of family activities and youth guidance. Join us to ask questions about the Steelers athletic experience, as well as meet board members and players. Bring your family to this joyful community event and enjoy the activities! ATLANTIC CITY BUS TRIP

For those of you who missed the trip last year, another opportunity has arrived!! Join us for an exciting Atlantic City Bus Trip! Need a day to relax? Cruised the boardwalk lately? Want to try your luck on the slot machines? Craving salt water taffy? Then join us and start the summer months off right! Tickets will be $45 with a casino rebate to be announced. Refreshments will be served on the bus and there will be a 50/50 raffle. You could come home a winner!!
Relay for Life

Come out and join the Laurel Steelers Youth Football and Cheer as we support the Relay for Life event. The event begins at 6pm and runs until 6am the next morning. We are asking that parents and players come out and show your spirit to help share information and support a great cause. I think the best time to be there would be between 6-8pm that night but, the Steelers faithful will be there all night.

Guilford Elementary Wellness Fair

The Laurel Steelers Youth Football and Cheer organization will host a booth at the Guilford Elementary Wellness Fair on Saturday June 12, 2010 from 3pm-7pm. Stop by and enjoy an afternoon with both the football and cheer coaches as they talk to youth about how to prepare for this years fall season. “This is another good opportunity to get our name into the community that we so faithfully serve!!!”
Fourth of July Parade in Laurel

The Laurel Steelers Youth Football and Cheer organization will march in the Fourth of July Parade in Laurel. We will also host the kid’s events for the day which will run from 1-3pm. Come out and enjoy a day in the sun and take a moment to stop by our booth that will be filled with valuable information about the Steelers 2010 campaign. If you are able to lend a hand in the booth that would be great. If you are interested in working with the kids events, we will need you to fill out the volunteer paperwork and receive an ID badge. Please let me know ASAP.
